Xperia XZ PREMIUM have plastic frame? WHY AGAIN SONY. PREMIUM PHONE-PLASTIC FRAME

Hello everyone!

I apologize for the late reply to all of you asking which material the frame of the Xperia XZ Premium is made of.

The back of Xperia XZ Premium is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the display is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and the frame from Nylon.

I really dont get the negative views on plastic frames. it not common plastic used in the phones, they are usually made with polycarbonate or nylon in the case of XPeria XZ. I don't mean that plastic is premium but the compared with other materials it is resilient.

It'll be 20-30% glass filled nylon or polycarbonate, very tough and more forgiving than metal with bending.

Sorry, I respect you, but don't agree with you.

For a premium device, premium materials must be NECESSARY!

Looks at Nokia 6! It is full alluminium and glass, at less the half price!!!

I don't spent 800€ to touch a plastic! I have an X Compact and I went from Z2; the difference is enormous!!!

Now I wait the all Nokia 6 review (and Samsung ones) then my experience with Sony will be terminated, as its services, closed one an one. However I gave the last possibility to Sony at IFA 2017 for not lost me as consumer.

To have a quite Android stock device, I choose one with premium materials and better camera.

Not sure myself, only mention of materials I could find on these new phones was the XA1 having a full aluminium frame around it.

This thread is for XZ PREMIUM materials, not XA1.

However, also last year the XA had the lateral frame in alluminium, the up and bottom piece in plastic and the back in plastic too.

Yes I know what this thread about, I was simply referring to the fact that only that model of the phones announced at the same time, mentions the materials used. XZ Premium does not and as such we are questioning where the OP got the information that XZ Premium is made from plastic.

Top and bottom are aluminum but the sides are Polycarbonte
