Oreo 8 upgrade problems with phones

Since android upgrade to Oreo 8 phone not working properly have 2 phones keep switching off

Only way to get them to start is have to force restart of phones 

Many apps not working properly or if at all 

Can't clean storage to free up space 

Since updating it as also wipe sd card

i think you better repair your phones using Xperia companion this will solved your problems

False, there's big problems with oreo sony stock rom, sony knows but it doesn't care until .75 was fine, after that just nightmare with some phones and firmware, you can check the forum

@Hakkinen3k I'm not having any problems on my XZP running Oreo, so perhaps the software repair is the way to go after all.

Companion for unlocked bootloader is useless, newflasher is the way but, some firmware are buggy as, so, i stay with nougat until 8.1... maybe.

Hi people 

Thought I post to let you know 

OK I tried Sony software companion on laptop 

Phone wouldn't connect at all 

Even after reinstall software on 

Laptop?

Included reboot etc 

So had to do a full on hard 

Repair reinstall via holding volume down button and plugging in USB 

To laptop 

Took roughly 30 minutes

Then do reset to get phone up and running with Google Sony etc 

The problem I found was could not do a backup before I did the hard reinstall so 

I lost some call contacts and material I had on phone 

I did have a backup on laptop but 

Was out of date 

And the over Google backup couldn't get a updated backup because of the issue of phone 

Not even connecting to my Google account 

So was annoying 

Anyway at moment phone seems to be working OK 

But still haven't put all apps back one 

I do use Microsoft Office apps 

But I'm a little bit worried so 

I not using it on phone at the moment 

Anyway like I said things seem to be working OK

I letting you know I resolved the issue via a forced reinstall 

As Sony Companion wouldn't connect or phone 

I've got both phones working OK 

At the moment 

But is very annoying to have to do 

This the want to roll out Oreo 01 sooner than later and get rid of the bugs in Oreo 8
