Hey folks!
So I got the Oreo update a couple days ago on my XZP. I've never really bothered to use Xperia Actions before, as I found them pretty useless, and used the Smart Connect app instead, as it gave me much more flexibility and options.
But sinse the introduction of additional options like "Commute", I decided to try it out. I wanted my bluetooth to be turned ON when I commute to work so my phone will connect to my car when I drive. I have set up my "home" and "work" locations, and the times to 6:30-8:30am on the way to work and 5:30-7:00pm on the way back for Monday to Friday.
Now... today morning (monay), I woke up at home and the time was 6:40, the bluetooth was OFF. A quick google search told me that the Locations might screw up with triggering my actions, so I removed the HOME and WORK locations. This seems to have triggered "Commute" to turn ON now (I was able to see the little bus notification icon on the top left), BUT my bluetooth was still OFF. I have added another option to turn the phone to a silent mode, and the silent mode seems to trigger just fine when the time conditions are met.
After the slight disappointment, I turned off the "Commute" action and realized that I wasn't able to turn my bluetooth ON even by manually doing so. I had to restart the phone to make it work... Has any one of you expeienced a similar behaviour? I tried to explain it as detailed as I could, let me know if y ou need more clarification.
As of now, I will refrain from using Actions and stick to the Smart Connect app which is a much better option...
