LED Notification light not working

Light worked when received as new. After system updates it stopped working. Ran systems repair with Pc companion, and then finally factory reset and still no LED light. Any suggestions. Not sure if I should wait to see if android nougat 7.1.2 fixes it when it comes out or just go swap out the device.

Mine isn't working either after an update. (Z4 tablet) I suspect it will be something that a later update will address so it probably isn't worth getting a replacement device
