Hi all,
currently using an xz1 (will be stuck to andr 9, "thank you sony") and thinking about purchasing an xz3 or a 5.
but after reading so many bugs about Android 10 i m really wondering if i should make the purchase.
I ve read posts since late 2019 and early 2020 for the bugs but recently i see no posts if the problems continue. Are there any users to confirm that they received a working update in andr10, for XZ family and xperia 1 and 5?
some sites say that Sony pulled back the buggy update and after sometime that they will start to roll out again so what is going on? I wouldn't mind waiting a bit for a stable version but what is the status for now?
Tengo un Sony Xperia XZ2 y desde que tengo Android 10 tengo los citados fallos a lo largo de este foro. Según tengo entendido, el Xperia XZ3 sufre los mismos fallos a día de hoy.
Still fingerprint reader delay. Still camera or phone freezing
Sony doesn't care about our old devices, no money to be made only costs.
They want you to buy new models.
Don't get it why people don't understand this.
Downgrade to Android 9 and enjoy your devices ! With Android 10 they will NEVER work same as under Android 9.
Regards,
Do you by any chance know how to revert back to android version 9 ?
I believe that software updates are released depending on many factors, including the device specifications, maybe this is why your device is not upgrade-able to Android 10.
Hi
Using XZ3 since Dec 2018.
All good in 2019 when in Android 9 upgrade to Android 10 there are many issues and still happening
Main issue is with detecting network signal, sim card. Signals keep dropping, even during calls to add to embarrassment (dropped while on a job interview), on restarting phone not detecting any network or sim card. Even WiFi keep dropping at times or unstable.
Thanks
you can try to repair the software of the device, here's a clip for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YQ23k11NFc#action=share
Hi,
What about Sony issuing a fix and sending an OTA update?
Repairing it tedious process (at least for me) and will take hours to do. Based on so many people facing so many issues, its probably better for Sony to do the bug fixes.
Thanks
Fahad
You may need to raise it directly with Sony, as for bug related issues in the operating system, some manufacturers enable a sort of software re-installment accessible to their users, like Huawei and Sony and I'm willing to bet others, give it a go as it may just help, as it did for other users, myself included.
