X10 mini keyboard

I've just come back from Hong Kong where I bought an X10 mini.

I've changed the language to English and it works well, however the keyboard is the Chinese one.

Is there an easy way to remove this keyboard and install an English one instead?

Hi,

On my generic Xperia™ X10 mini I can change the language by pressing the top right button in the keyboard view. The first two options are Input Methods, but after that is a list of languages. I'm not sure if English will be available there for you, as Chinese is not available on mine, but that is where you'd find it.

Unfortunately no English.

I would have thought that it should be fairly easy to add this. I'm surprised that it is not included by default.

I found out the answer:

If you go into messages and press and hold the 'type to compose' box, all the different keyboards will come up. You just need to select standard.

On the big X10, there is also an Android keyboard (in English) which is worth looking at.  I find it easier to use than the standard keyboard - and easy to change back again if you don't like it.  As before, just go to compose message, long press on text space and go to input method and change it from there.
