UNABLE TO RUN SOFTWARE UPDATE SERVICE

I got a problem with my W595, its less than an year old, the problem is with display screen as its not showing any wall paper and theme graphics, the second problem is with its memory, phone auto erases its memory like contacts and messages, games, themes, etc...and this happens randomly, i tried running software update service but it gives message, " unable to download update".. its not even showing the software version... please help..

Then try phone repair via PC suite.

i did that and i got the error after completing the download..that "the contents of the file cannot be unpacked. the excutable you are attempting to run has been corrupted.

Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again"...Now what to do:(          (message is attached)

Then go to sonyericsson.com and try downloading PC suite via the software download section of another phone such as the W995--just make sure it is PC suite version 6.011.00

I tried with every phone having the specified Software version but the same error occured...could it be a security issue of internet settings??

What Operating System is your PC running on? You can also try a master reset using your phone's menu.

i did that too, but no change...its Windows XP Professional, with 1 GB RAM and 150GB HDD.

Try downloading PC suite and the update service on a different PC, and see whether you can update or do a phone repair.Other than that, you may have to contact SE since the phone is still under warranty.
