sms issues

hi there,

i am using generic sms app that came with my xperia x10 but for some reasons i am getting an error msg while trying to access the sms and wont access until i switch off the phone? Is anyone else getting this issues and how do i go about fixing it? I dont want to use any other app for msg. i was suggested to try handcent but i like to use the app that came with the phone.

I guess the best thing to try first is a software reset / repair via Sony Ericsson Update Service availabe from the Support tab at the top of the page.  This will wipe your phone so make sure you back up your phone first and ensure that your contacts are saved or synced so you don't lose them. The phone will be wiped so you will be starting from a clean slate but hopefully it will sort our your error.
