Ive recently been having problems with my camera on the satio, i try to take a picture and the flash just keeps flashing even when i close the shutter or it crashes and both times ive got to turn the phone off to be able to use it again.
I searched the internet but cant find anything on it and i dont know if an update will help but id rather not do one as i always have more problems when i do a update. Any help would be grateful.
I have the exact same problem, have done for months now and I'm sick of it. Going to contact SE and see if I can get an RMA. If not, I'll take it into Orange and hope they can get it repaired under warranty.
Next step: sell this POS and get an HTC.

Hi,
I had this same problem!! Happened on a few occasions, it was a bit like a crazy strobe light!
Anyways, I updated the firmware using Update Service back in Feb/March time, and I haven't had any problems since with the camera.
So my advice would be to update it (back your files up though). The update has made most user's experience much more improved, but its your choice!

Well, I've got myself an HTC Desire HD. It seems is millenia ahead of the Satio in every single way (bar the camera quality of course, where it comes pretty damned close). The Android 2.2 interface is second to none and the choice of apps is incredible. Highly recommended. Makes the Satio look like something from the dark ages The Satio is from the dark ages.
Also got an RMA form sent by email from Sony Ericsson. Going to send my phone next week for repairs, then eBay it.
@Chint; I have been through every single firmware update. I have flashed my phone with hacked firmware, de-branded it to remove the Orange bloatware, the full works. It hasn't worked whatever I do, so it's almost definitely a hardware fault, if only a partial one. It may be software related in some way as well of course.
