Device in box?

Hello.in my box for my phone, there was an device i do not recognize.it reminds me of an usb device, and on the side it says "micro sd adapter".what is it for,and how do i connect it to the phone?

It's for reading your micro sd memory card on your computer without the need to use your phone.To use it, take the memory card out of your phone, slide it into the device and plug it into your PC's USB port.The memory card will then appear as a removable storage device which you can open and exchange files between it and the PC by file transfer (copy/paste or drag/drop).
