c702 update fails

I am trying to flash my C702 using the Update Service, however the update fails during the "Downloading" part, before the actual flashing begins.

I have investigated this using wireshark and have discovered that the update program encounters a 404 file not found error. My internet connection is definitely working. Presumably the 404 error is why the update process fails. Is there any workaround I can use, or any chance that someone at Sony Ericsson could look into this matter?

Try reinstalling the update service application and failing this, try phone repair via PC suite.
