Battery Timing problem

Hello!

I have a problem with my battery timing on my x8,it only lasts for a day(24 hrs). I just bought it 3 days ago. I tried turning off everything through power control widget but still got the same problem. So can anyone suggest me any solution or is my battery faulty.

The old 'dumb' phones would last for days without charging but you are now in the brave new world of the smart phone and most phones from whichever manufacturer (including the sainted Apple) need charging daily.

However that saidI got my X8 test unit last Tuesday and had a spare sim card in with no data package on it so I turned off the Data Traffic in Settings>Wireless Controls>Mobile Networks and it lasted two and half to three days.  At the weekend I swapped my full package sim from my X10 into the phone and had it running Data and polling on Facebook,Twitter and Email and it only lasted the day out. 

I was pretty impressed with the battery usage out of the box because with the big X10 I had to run it for a good week doing the charge discharge thing before I got a good day out of it.
