Xperia X compact moving app to SD card still work on Oreo?

Hi

I bought XZ1 compact after using X compact (RIP) for few years.

After discovering on XZ1C, you can't move app to Sd card anymore, I' thinking of going back to X compact.

I've read around blogs and it's Oreo that is stopping the feature.

I see XC can upgrade to Oreo, can anyone tell me if you are still able to move app to SD card after upgrading to Oreo?

If not, I guess I just have to stop software update and not upgrade to oreo by assessing build number carefully??

You have what, 32GB of space on the phone..that'll take a while to fill with apps, and any photos or videos, put them on an SD card, the Compact has an SD slot does it not.

App movement is a thing of the past, and for good reason.

You were only as fast as your slowest part, and for most, the SD card read/write speed was lacking, and also, if anything happened to the SD card, the app was broken.

Not the whole app was moved, only portions.

I actually think, that you can upgrade to Android 9 on that phone.
