My X Compact is no longer visible to my old Sony laptop running Windows 10. Other devices eg memory sticks and Panasonic camera plugged into any of the USB ports are seen ok. Have tried 2 different cables. Was ok 2 weeks ago; could recent Microsoft update have caused this? Any fix known?

Thanks viridis, I finally got it to work. I installed the wpdmtp.inf file as per the Microsoft instructions and tried all combinations of phone locked and unlocked, pc rebooted, phone rebooted, but the phone was still not seen by the pc. Then some hours later I repeated the installation and the phone became visible to the pc. It then demanded that I re-install the Xperia Companion software and it still worked.
So thanks again
