Are you using Mirror Link? and are any of the of the devices a PC?

Yup...car and laptop paired.
Calls, audio and contacts permission for the car.
Am using an XZ. With all software up to date.

I believe this must be true, as I've found my Bluetooth on for no reason a few times. But wuite rarely I would say.

Just to make sure I'm getting this right: was your Bluetooth turned off before you enter flight mode?

Yes,
And I have found a solution to the problem.
With Bluetooth off.. Go to the Bluetooth app... Open the 3 dot and disable the scan settings.
