I have a Sound Bar HT-MT300. Hoping someone can assist, as I'm at the end of my tether!
I've had this system for about two or three years now, and use it with a Sony Bravia TV.
Yesterday, it decided to stop playing the sound output from my TV. I have carried out various checks/actions, and can confirm that:
1. The sound bar has power.
2. It works when in Bluetooth mode, I have sound from my phone.
3. I can use the optical audio cable to plug my phone into the sound bar and play music in analogue mode.
4. I have, therefore, proven that the audio cable which I use to connect the Sound Bar to the TV is working OK.
5. I have tried resetting the Sound Bar in accordance with the instructions numerous times, but still no sound is played when connected to the TV. (The sound level is at the required level, BTW).
6. I have also connected an independent speaker to the TV's digital audio out, so I know that is working fine.
I just cannot work out why if the Sound Bar works in all other respects, why it will no longer play sound that is output from the TV.
Any assistance or ideas gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation.
