WF-1000XM4 Replacement Ear Tips

Good afternoon guys,

Just wondered if anyone knew how to obtain some replacement ear tips for the WF-1000XM4 headphones. Mine are starting to deteriorate from use. I follow the instructions regarding cleaning them and always keep my headphones in their charging case when not in use. I accept the face that the tips are delicate and won’t last forever. But I am having difficulty in tracking down anywhere that stock replacements. Any ideas when I can get some replacements. I mean official Sony ones, I know there are some 3rd party ones available online. Thanks for your help.

I know you’re asking about official Sony ones but I just want to recommend Sonicfoam earbud tips. Their large size is more like XL. I’m so happy with the passive noise cancellation and comfort these offer. They’re really cheap for 10 pairs. I won’t use any other tips now.

Thanks for the recommendation. For that price will likely give them a try. Can never have enough spares. Would have thought it would have been easier than it is to get some replacement tips. Ah well. How is the noise cancelling on them, as good as the stock tips ?

Hey Jalapeno22, if you're following the instructions you should contact Sony to send you new ones, I know someone who did the same and they sent him new pair

Just to clarify, these are the official SKUs for the replacement polyurethane noise isolation earbud foam tips for the WF-1000XM4:

EP-NI1000S
EP-NI1000M
EP-NI1000L

These cannot be found in any store where I live and it seems Sony is not offering them, which is weird. The WF-1000XM4 is extremely popular. The foam tips are extremely fragile. One scratch with the nail and they will crack. They are very hard to clean.

Here is what I could find regarding the cleaning of the earbuds in the manual:

A word of warning: All of the third-party foam buds I could find on the internet are not of the same material or quality as the original. I would advise against buying these. Rather demand that your local store stock up on these official buds from Sony.

Sony, please make these available to us or I will return my WF-1000XM4. No use having them if I can't use them.

Hi @Jimmooo,

I mean you can always contact Sony and they will provide you with the part number of the ear tips that you want based on the color and size. Then you can ask them where to buy it from.
