Windows XP Prof on A317-M

I've got Windows XP Home Edition on my A-317M at the moment but I want to install XP Professional. Will this cause a problem?

I'm reading the Recovery Guide at the moment and it appears that I will lose all my programs if I did this?

Any help guys?

You will lose access to the programs of Sony. A tutorial that goes exists help you to do this upgrade. Essentially he indicates that you should save the drivers in a disk.

Yes, I agree with IT-broker

But, if you need XP pro, why you haven't bought a VAIO with XP pro?
And if you use your VAIO only at home and not for buisness, then you wouldn't need XP pro.
