VGN NW20EF - keeps turning off - WHY????

I have a VGN NW20EF which suddenly turns off without any reason.  Sometimes the laptop stays on for 2 mins, sometimes for 10 minutes.  Does anyone know why?? I have read threads saying it is due to the fan or overheating, but I have tried putting a hair dryer next to the vents to keep the laptop cool, but no look!  Any ideas?

I would suggest you download and install a utility like "PC Wizard" which will measure the temperature of your CPU and GPU.

If you let us know the temperatures when idle and also when under load, someone will be able to tell you if your Vaio is overheating.
