Hi,
I have been using Ethernet connection for the last 6 months so never really used wireless, Today as I wanted to use wireless, It failed to work. It used to work earlier...
The wireless switch is on but the green light that used to lit is now its always off.
The drivers of wireless for my laptop are installed which I downloaded from the sony.
The device manager ->wireless device -> properties show that the wireless is off...
I removed the device from the device manager and refresh the hardware changes, it detects the device and installs it, but again the lights doesnt turn on and the wireless is disconnected always...
What should I do my OS is XP professional...
Regards,
Ahmed
Hi Ahmed,
What model Vaio do you have?
Do you have C:\Program Files\Sony\Wireless Switch Setting Utility (WSSU)\Switcher.EXE installed on your Vaio?

Hi,
I have Sony vaio VGN FE31H and I have that utility installed...
Regards,
any ideas 😞
Hi,
Do you have the Wireless Switch Utility running? Do you have a small green square in the taskbar?
If the green square is not there, double-click on the switcher.exe to run it.
If the green square is there, double-click in it and in the window that opens, make sure the 2.4 GHz Wireless LAN is selected.
Have you tried everthing from your Vaio's manual?

Hi,
The wireless switch utility is installed and running, made no difference though. I tested the software with both options of MHZ for wireless frquency,...didnt do anything,.,.
The light of the wireless device never turns ON... 😞
Is there something physically wrong with the wireless switch.. ??
anyone there to help out???
