Time-shifting with Sony Network Media Receiver

Hi VAIO friends,

Before Christmas I want to buy a brand-new RS-326 or RZ-414 VAIO desktop system. But there is still an open question: Can I use the Sony Network Media Receiver in the living room (via remote control of the Media Receiver) to record TV movies on the VAIO system and can show the beginning of TV movie, while recording the movie (time-shifting over Media Receiver)?

Who has any experience with this?
