Would 'burn DVD's' as recovery discs but my new FS115B does not recognise the DVD discs, only CD's. What am I doing wrong please?!

No really I'm joking, if you want to make a new post (in the future) you just click on Post New Topic on the right hand side just about the threads.

Anyway back to the problem, gibb89: as Seb said, it's for a docking station, Jenny: have you made any alterations? Like install software or firmware updates?

Consider myself reprimanded. Anway, just downloaded updates that Sony showed when first registered, ie yesterday. One was very large file for DVD but has not made any difference. Does the actual make of DVD disc make any difference?

Take it you mean Click2DVD?
OK try this, go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore and restore to a date before installing it.

Do DVDs work then?

Tried to make System discs with DVD's before downloading any updates and it would not recognise the disc. Only CD's. Downloaded updates and tried again, no different.

Make sure you only use R type DVDs, RW won't work.

Also use Sony, TDK or Verbatim to make the disks, as they're the best
