Actually, all new models will include  this technology (called Vaio-update), being automatic notification of updates. Some models already have this included as a pilot test phase, and once a new driver is posted you are automatically linked to the Vaio-link site to get your update... kind like the Microsoft update principle.

I have this but it didn't alert me very well to new updates such as Drivers - I only found that out by coming on here.

Sony could list an updates for their batteries.....I am looking for a BP2NX for my mums laptop (NV109) but Sony dont sell them....they do sell a BP2NY...would that be the same????

Perhaps Sony could update its accessory listings (other wise the only obvious option is to buy pattern batteries from ebay....)

I understand that this is quite a good site for batteries - obviously care S/be taken when using non-Sony batteries

You can find your optional accessory list when using the specifications section. I know that the rest of the accessory information and support will be gradually updated also, but this might take some additional days. I noticed that the creation date of the drivers is added in the meantime...

Certainly no problem usign the Accessories selector on the Vaio Link site...but when you got to "BUY FROM SONY", the accessory is no longer listed.

If new batteries are replacements for old ones (Is a BP2nY the replacement for a BP2nX ??), this should be listed somewhere.


Otherwise, the new look Vaio Link site is pretty good. Very clear, and fast too.

This is nice to know. It'll be good to see it up and running in the future.
