Sony WIFI SMA adaptor

Hi All

I have a Sony VGX-TP3Z\B media centre and it needs the wireless antenna that usually comes with it. I bought a 3rd party one but it doesnt fit the thread? I was told that Sony use a hybrid thread and it will only attach if its a genuine Sony WIFI atenna.

Can someone confirm this and if so what external antenna can i use?

I have two TP3Z/B units and both have the wrong thread. However, I have the original antennae supplied with the units and they both don't fit. I have always had to use an ethernet cable.
I have investigated this and have found that my units have a left hand thread instead of a right hand thread. If you examine the rear of your unit you'll probably find the same.
Seeing that sony supplied 'normal' anntenna, this would therefore be a manufacturing error on Sonys part.
contact Sony direct and see what they say. You can find antenna with a LH thread online but they are very rare and delivery is expensive.
If anyone knows where to get an adaptor for this issue, I'd be very grateful!
