I have a problem for connected the playstation with the monitor of my pc. I have connected the play station with the rca-cable, but when i stat WMC i can't selcted the av-out.
Thanks.
The input is really designed for recording purposes. Try using Windows Movie Maker to select the input. You will probably find that the results are disappointing with the Playstation.
I have a similar problem
I have a VGC LA1 and an XBOX360
I want to conect the XBOX to the composite sockets on the back
(I'm NOT talking about file sharing here, I can do that standing on by head. I want to "share" the screen between the two machines).
You can imagine the "fun" I've been having searching for relevant connection advice (xbox connecting.. yay!... ah.. ohno!.. it's filesharing AGAIN!).
There's no obvious way in Windows media centre to select an "external input source" (Gah!!! that would have been my no.1 or 2 priority if i'd been asked)
the official online manual does not say how to use the three sockets but it does mention that you can physicly connect a camera using the svideo socket,
Nice idea about Windows movie maker but I thought that was only designed for video capture and editing?
I've tried this, and yes, in the preview screen it can "see" the XBOX but it asks where to save it (it thinks you want to capture it to disk!).
I agree with Rob here, I tried it once so I could explain the pitfalls to another member, it was awful
