New Vaoi User Needs Help With Internet Background Colour!

Just got my first laptop-FS415B.
Very happy as so far everything has worked as I have wanted except that the backgound on Internet explorer is white on everything I visit, which is a bit hard on the eyes! I'm not sure if I did it by accident or if this is the default setting.
Have played around but can't seem to change it...I am a bit of a novice, so advice would be very welcome.

Yes, it's always white. This is standard and it would surprise me if you could change that.

Just type about:blank and you get a nice white site. LOL

to change colours in Internet Explorer

Goto Tools/Internet Options

Click on Accessibility button and select 'Ignore colors....' then click on ok

Then click on Colors button and deselect 'Use windows colors' and choose the colors you want to use.

However, I find that with Internet Explorer, it then defaults to white background 😞 maybe someone could shed some light on this.

However, with FireFox it works

to change colours in FireFox

goto Tools/Options

Under Content tab click the colours button

deselect allow pages to blah blah and choose your colours

Just a word of warning though, pages may not look right  google definately looks weird with a black background

*edit*

ok...

if you right click the desktop, then select properties

goto the appearance tab, then click on advanced tab

in the item dropdown menu, select 'window'

change the text and background to what you want, color1 being background, color2 being text.

then do the step in accessiblity to ignore colors.

a word of warning before you do this, not only will Internet Explorer have a black background, but other programs that usually have a white background and black text will now display the background colours and text colour you chose.
