Media player advice please?!!

Love this site, As a novice it helps stop me being scared to touch my laptop, and I'm learning things all the time.
Question - I want to listen to bbc local radio that requires real player. If I download it will it screw up my windows media player, or can I set media player as a default so that it is still my main player for my e-mails etc... My husband likes the media player.....and despises the bbc! (He's canadian and objects to paying tax to watch tv!!!

You can download and install Real player without affecting media player, when just select the file types that you wish to be default for real player.

Make sure you get the very latest Real Player. It has been exposed as having security issues which only v10.5 has been patched.

Yeah just make sure you untick the file types you want WMP to use
