Hard disk space on T1xp

I have now owned my T1XP for a couple of months and it is the best notebook I've had. I do however have a problem and am stumped on how best to solve it. I have some knowledge of computers but am not an expert.

The notebook' hard disk is partitioned (i think) as follows;
C drive - space 13.9gb - has 2.2gb free
D drive - space 16.2 gb - has 13.9 gb spare

I have already had a warning appear that I am low on space. I have tried where possible to load anything new to D. I synchronise with a desktop - making use of the 'offline files' facility (total size approx 2gb) but these are by default stored on C.

I would welcome any help on this. My thought was to maybe amend the size of C i.e. increase it by reducing D - or to as a minimum try and have the offline files stored on D.

Help!!

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum.

Maybe the easiest solution would be to move your 'My Documents' folder over to the D drive.

In explorer right click My Documents and select Properties, click on move and select the D drive.

This should free up some space on the C drive.

Thanks Rich

The size of the My Docs folder is only 72MB - so although it would make an improvement - it doesn't solve it!

In that case you can use Parition Magic to re-size your partitions, but backup everything first as sh*t happens!
