Firewire port

i have just got a A497 Viao and i cant find the firewire port to plug in my ipod dock anyone got any ideas ?

The Firewire port on your VAIO is called iLink*.

It's a mini-Firewire Port. Compareable with a Mini-USB Port on your Digital camera. You need a adaptor or correct cable.
Take a look in the manual of your VAIO.

Normally the iPod has one in it's box
Usually it's on the right hand side of the machine BTW
