DVD Driver for Vaio SVF1521P2EB

Having used the troubleshoot on my control panel its telling me that i have a problem with my DVD driver. Ive tried applying the fix to reinstall the driver but with no luck. I've only had the Vaio 2 months so not very impressed by this. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix the issue?

Hi Northern_Monkey and welcome.

Please have a look in Device Manager and see if there is an error (!) against your CD/|DVD-ROM drive. Let us know the Error Code given and we may be able to offer a solution along the lines of Rich912's solution in this discussion: -

Having looked I had exactly the same error code as Rich so have followed the advice posted for him and it seems to have cured it. Thanks very much
