cpu upgrade

Hi

i'm having trouble finding out the bus speed of my PCG-FR315B notebook. It seems to be missing from the spec-support list. My cpu is an intel celeron 2.6Ghz (Mhz ?) 128KB cache which i'm think of upgrading if required and if it would indeed be possible.

does anyone know of a site to scan my spec or actually know the bus speed of this cpu?

Hi CT and welcome to Club Vaio.

I very much doubt that your motherboard will support any sort of economical CPU Upgrade. It cannot support any of the newer dual processors and although it may take a P4 (even this I doubt), this will not give much of a performance increase.

thanks for the reply blencogo. the software i'm trying to run requires 700Mhz. looks like i need a new notebook.
