Cannot see dialogue box at right conner on my PC screen

I just bought my vaio pocket one week ago. I run all program and update.
My vaio pocket work perfectly, no problem at all . happy
When I like to disconnect my vaio from craddle I cannot find diaolog box at right side of PC screen, I cannot stop the vaio normaly like with other think connected to USB port (Canon camera, memory stick ...)
Did some body have same problem?
