I have recently had to format my hard drive, which I done so using the resotre disks that were provided when I purchased my laptop, howevery now I am unable to play any DVD's on my laptop, everytime that I put a dvd in it says "a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer" I have tried to download decoders but nothing seems to work.

The make of my DVD drive is...

Matishita UJDA730 DVD/CDRW

does anyone know where I would be able to find a decoder that will allow me to play dvds, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

on your revovery disks should be a program that will play dvd's

i have intervideo.

explore the disks and see what you find.

Put in your applications disk and install WinDVD.
