BAD_POOL_CALLER

Hi,

I'm getting a Blue Screen of Death of my T2XP

Can anyone tell me why this might keep happening please?

I've tested the RAM with MemTest and it comes back as ok.

I've done all the Windows XP updates.

Hi matd,

These are very difficult to fix as the cause is usually vague. It is usually a corrupt driver.

See if anything else helps here: -

Try Start -> RUN -> sfc /scannow

This is the Windows System File Checker and it will check all your system files and replace then if they are corrupt.

As it could be a driver issue, check the most obvious causes - make sure you have the latest Audio Driver installed (Analogue Devices - uninstall anything else) and the latest Video Driver (Intel 855GME - chipset drivers)

If this doesn't work, then as you have already had a Stop message about your USB drivers, I think I would borrow a XP Pro installation Disc and run a 'Repair' install. The Registry can become corrupt and you will end up chasing ghosts without finding a solution.

The final resort is to Reinstall the Operating System.
