All PCG-FX notebooks keep freezing

My FX705 keeps freezing, especially when i'm trying to play a video.
Looking at this forum, it seems i'm not the only one with this problem.
Does anyone have a solution, perhaps in the form of a patch, a bios update, or even installing a whole new graphics card?

Unfortunately, having a laptop prevents you from easily upgrading your graphics processor.
Its built in/on board so unless you want to totaly redeign the circuitry etc, you're kinda stuck with the graphics chip you got.

As for fixes - try the VIA 4in1 drivers, and have a look around the forums.
