What do the different letters in product type mean?

I'm totally confused - the models have ex , hx etc and nowhere tells me what they mean . I take it the higher the number the more recent the issue re 703, 803, 903 etc. Somewhere i read the u at the end means its a UK machine.

I have no interest in 3D , Prefer 200Hz and wifi compatible and just would like advice on whats the best in range at reasonable price circa the 703 range.
