Unable to register home device in SideView

Hello,

my KDL-50W656A TV does not show up in the "Add device" screen on my iphone5 or ipad when both devices are connected to the same wireless network (no privacy settings).

The TV is able to see other network devices, like a WD media server as well as connect to the internet.

SideView detects and controls the TV if my phone is connected WiFi Direct.

The TV has no Ethernet port, wired connection to router not possible.

So, what can I do to get SideView working via the wireless network ?

The apple sideview app only seems to work via a wired ethernet connection

This would be really disappointing from Sony !

The app error message does contain - "Your router may not be able to find a home device if it is connected via wireless LAN. In this case, retry after connecting the home device and router using a wired LAN.", but this does not make any sense to me - what's the difference from the app's point of view between a wired and a wireless network ?

I still hope there is some setting I can change on the router to make this work ...

If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

There are 2 versions of sideview if you download the new one it will now connect via wireless to the tv with an ipad at least,my connections ipad4 to 55w905.
