I have a sky on Sony and sky link from tv to another tv in another room.  The problem is when I turn off Sony tv and go to the other room switch on tv and turn on sky it will automatically turn the Sony to on.  There is no off switch on the Sony only standby.  I could probably pull the mains switch from the socket or is there another way of stopping sky turning the Sony on from the second room?

Hi @basaxford, welcome to the Community.

Pulling the plug would certainly work! Beyond that you could for a smartphone app that might offer you more control. I can't recommend one but it may be a solution. 

Perhaps the Sky forums would be helpful? I would imagine you aren't alone with this issue among Sky users.

Hi @basaxford. Turn off HDMI control on the Sky box. Obviously this will mean that you will have to switch on all TVs manually where previously you turned on the Sky box and that turned on the TV.
