KDL-48wd653 unable to update firmware

My version    8.219

New version  8.229

Cannot install via network or usb. Have done factory reset ( painfully time consuming )

New update fixes an issue with subtitles that I am having issues with. Update is only available for Euro TV's which mine is.

Should I just wait for Sony developers to fix this 5 year old model? ( support less likely at this age )

Just once after the update is over, and only if you have an issue or instability (this usually means the update left some temporary files or something similar).

Daily is definitely not acceptable nor was it what I meant, my apologies if I was unclear!
