KDL 46HX823 flickering/pixelated for ps3/ps4/macbook, fine with Virgin tv

Hi! Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a 46" Sony Bravia KDL 46HX823.

I have Virgin TiVo connected and the picture is perfect (connected as 1080i via HDMI.

My problem is that my PS4, PS3 & Macbook Air when connected via HDMI come through as 1080p 12 bit and are pixelated and there is some minor image flickering/flashing.

Firmware is up to date (according to TV) and I have fiddled with all the settings both on the TV and the devices that I can think of. HDMI cables have also been switched and it's consistently bad on everything bar the Virgin box.

Any ideas?! it's so fustrating!
