Is there a fix for audio dropout glitch on KDL 40 EX503?

Hi, Im just wondering whether anybody has actually solved the problem on Bravia Tv's when watching BBCHD of intermittent audio drops when the channel changes from 1080p to 1080i?

As I havent got a dongle for my TV can I connect it to the net via ethernet cable and router and will the TV auto update?
