I am stuck on favourites and cannot get back to to tv guide on Sony Bravia.

When I press TV guide I am stuck on favourites and cannot get back to to tv guide on Sony Bravia.  I pressed a wrong button and now I cannot get back.  This did happen once before and but I cant remember what I have to do.  The TV is 10 years old. Please help
