External hard drive for KDL-32W706B req

Wanted external hard drive for my KDL-32W706B it is almost 3 yrs old, anyone with information please, numbers etc; thanks.

Unfortuately Sony do not provide a full list of which HDDs work - I am assuming that you want it for USB Recording?

They have this info:

However it is out-of-date and only provides Sony models.  So it comes back to general advice.

• 2TB in size or less
• WD HDDs seem to provide the best compatibility experience
• If 2.5" HDD, then USB powered is OK, if 3.5" then its mains powered.
