Does an HDTV indoor antenna improve the HD of a TV?

I know it sounds like a very, very stupid question, but does it really improve the HD of a TV? I own a 1080p Sony TV and the quality is not that good, so I was wondering if getting an antenna of this sort would massively improve it? If so, does anyone know a good one that's under £30? Thanks

Hi there

With digital tv, you either get a signal or you dont.  So, unless you are experiencing a break up of picture or a black screen, a new aerial or an adjustment will not make any difference.

What channels are you experiencing poor quality?  Can you describe it a little more?
