Bravia TV KDL-40NX713 - no signal when switch on

I have a Bravia KDL-40NX713 TV.

Recently it has problems getting a signal after I switch the TV on. Once powered up I get 'No Signal' warning. After between 1 and 5 minutes I get a scrambled signal that reverts to full signal and the TV then operates normally. All other functions of the TV are fine.

What might be causing this?

Hi there

This sounds to me like an aerial problem, or aerial cabling issue. First check your signal strength and signal quality. Check your cables as well, old worn cables can cause big problems (including cheap and nasty ones too).

note also that if your aerial has been up there for many years it may well be that since the Digital switchover its no longer up to scratch and may need replacing assuming your original question was directed at freeview!
