Bravia KDL-42W705B sound but no picture?

The TV was working fine, 

Then the screen went a bit distorted and pixelated with lots of green coloring. 

Now the screen is blank but sound is playing. 

I've tried different inputs. As well as no input and just pressing the Home button on the remote. 

I can hear the sound of the cursor moving on the menus, but no picture.

Any ideas?

You could try performing a reset or a Factory Data Reset on your KDL-42W705B.

I think this might be a panel issue. If it was me, I'd better check the TV with a service centre to confirm this and check for repair or exchange alternatives.
