BBC iPlayer app has disappeared!

The BBC iPlayer app has disappeared from both my Sony smart TV (KDL-46HX853) and my Sony Blu-Ray player

(BDP-S790).

Have these apps been removed from Sony devices or is there something wrong with my devices? I have checked through all the menus multiple times and the iPlayer app is definitely not there,

any suggestions appreciated

lost my c5 iplayer back in may. spent the week end rewiring to get the bbc iplayer going but no luck got onto sony 46 mins resetting still not working. wife has gone to sons to catch up on his samsung thers is working fine.

Your model TV is from 2010 of which various people are experiencing issues at the moment.  Please see the following for more information:

I've discovered you can access it via youview. Choose a programm the day before and it fires up iplayer!

Just to clarify - YouView is only on 2015 and 2016 Android based Sony TVs.
