I'm currently using a KDL-32W705B TV and a HT-CT370 soundbar connected via a HDMI cable.
I have had no issues turning on the soundbar, and switching the audio from the TV speakers to the audio system, however, when the TV is left on standby overnight it switches back to the TV speakers.
I have contacted customer service, who said that it was a syncing issue between the soundbar and the TV, so I went on the Bravia Sync settings and switched "Auto Devices Off (Power off HDMI devices with the TV)" off, but this didn't make a difference and the sound had still switched back to the TV speakers by the morning.
Any suggestions into how I could prevent this from happening?
Hi,
Probably both devices loses the connection when either of them goes to standby/deep standby.
Hard to say why this happens. Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
Cheers
Peter
If a different cable doesn't work, you can also try disconnecting everything from each other and taking them off the wall.
It's a very basic thing to try but worth a shot.
Hope this helps!
