Am I missing something obvious?

I have just purchased a Sony KDL 22EX302. The red button does not appear to work on BBC channels. It does work on QVC and on the channel titled "BBC red button". Am I missing something obvious?

Hi,

        I did read something similar, however not exactly same.

The problem was that when the TV was originally tuned in "auto start up" menu requests to set the language and country.

If the language as set to English but the country was left as "-" the red button would not appear and when pressing teletxt button the banner "No Text Available" was shown.

If you try to enter the "Set Up" menu and enter "Auto start-up", you should then be able to ensure language and country are set before re-autotune.
