2 audio inputs on 1 hdmi channel

Hey everyone, i have a Sony Bravia KDL-32V4000 with an Xbox 360 plugged to HDMI port on channel HDMI-1. This all works fine.

I recently bought an Apple Universal Dock for my Ipod Touch. I plugged it into the USB behind my Xbox for power and into the red and white audio plug on my TV, on the channel AV3. The dock works fine playing music when im on channel AV3.

The plan was to listen to music while playing the Xbox, so is there anyway to have both audio inputs from the HDMI and ipod dock playing on the same channel, HDMI-1.

I am afraid it is not possible to mix sound from one AV channel on the Bravia into another.

Can you not load music onto the Xbox and choose to play this over the top of the game?  I have seen this on other games machines although I confess I am not 100% sure if this was a function of the unit, the game or both.
